Taylor’s Principal’s Award
So today was the interview for Taylor’s Principal Awards. I was there at 8.30a.m, we had briefing for about an hour, the rest was just waiting to be called out for the interview. It took pretty long, honestly. I was chatting away with my only schoolmate, Yen Mei. But I saw many familiar faces as well, like Kar Mern, Jessica Tee!, Joanne and Anton. Darn, there were people bringing Physics book to study. Competition yang sengit sekali.
The interview was fine. It felt like coffee talk because my interviewer, Ms Geraldine was really comfortable to talk to. It was a one to one interview by the way. Here are the few interview questions they asked,for some of them that might want to know :
- Tell me about yourself and your family (what your parents do and even siblings)
- Tell me about the posts you held in your school clubs.
- Which post or club did you learn most from?
- What would teachers say about you? (Ya Allah)
- How confident are you about SPM? (Ya Allah again!)
- What is your strongest subject besides English?
- Why are you interested in this scholarship?
- Do you plan to study locally or overseas? Why?
That’s all I can think of for now. I would say this interview was pretty general. The questions weren’t really that hard and it wasn’t much of selling yourself but more of just knowing you.
The second batch of scholarship applicants came at 11.30, which had even more familiar faces. Jasmine, Nicole, Xin Yi, Su Li, Tiffany, Pei Song, Jefferson, Nikita, Amanda and a few that I was indirectly acquainted to.
Sigh, back to studying Physics.
